We will always remember a trip we made to Scotland with Brian, Helen and James on the overnight sleeper from London to Edinburgh. We had our two small children with us who were so excited about the trip - so we didn't get much sleep on the train. Brian was amazing and we will always remember how kind he was to the children - keeping them amused with his stories and tricks. Even today - now that they are 40 and 38 they still call the rolled up hay bales that we saw out of the train window "Giant's Shreddies" - which is how Brian described them all those years ago.
Brian was a lovely, lovely man. Always a kind word and helpful advice. He will be sadly missed.
